About This Event

Please join us for the Employee Ownership Ideas Forum, a two-day virtual and in-person event in Washington DC on June 14 and 15, 2023. The event, which is co-hosted by the Aspen Institute Economic Opportunities Program and the Institute for the Study of Employee Ownership and Profit Sharing at Rutgers University, will bring together leading policymakers, researchers, employee-owned companies, investors, experts, and media to explore how the US can grow employee share ownership to improve the economic freedom and prosperity of American workers and increase the competitiveness of US businesses and our economy. Over the course of two days, we will:

Hear what the latest research reveals about the benefits of employee ownership for workers, businesses, and communities.
Talk with employee-owned companies about their successes and challenges.
Consider the potential for recent legislation to advance different forms of employee ownership and discuss ideas for building on that momentum.
Explore new ideas and innovations for how the government, private sector, and philanthropy can strengthen employee ownership.

Join us as we imagine what widespread, inclusive employee share ownership could mean for the country and rebuilding the American dream.
